Dr Nestor obtained his Medical Degree and Honours Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh in 2006. Upon completing his junior doctor years he pursued a surgical career, gaining experience from several surgical specialties predominantly Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Alongside this he entered Aesthetic Medicine, which became his passion and ambition. His focus is developing this specialty in Scotland, as well as safeguarding patients by taking an active role in Scottish Health Board Regulations surrounding treatments.
Dr Nestor has dedicated his career to Aesthetic Medicine and patient care, training with some of the UK’s most eminent surgeons and doctors. With a wealth of experience in Cosmetic Medicine, as well as a passion for this specialty, Dr Nestor opened The Medical Cosmetic Centre in April 2016 in the city centre of Edinburgh to address facial ageing, skin health, hair loss and body concerns, equally for women and men. Within the first year, The Medical Cosmetic Centre Won Best New Clinic in Scotland at the Scottish Medical Aesthetic Awards and Dr Nestor was honoured with Highly Commended Doctor.

Dr Nestor’s ethos:
What makes a man… manly, chiselled and attractive? Our concerns often differ from those of women, and it’s important to understand these. We want to look healthier, less harsh, and more attractive.
Understanding these differences between men and women, as well as the ageing process, allows us to refine, improve and develop our features, always aiming for a natural, healthy result. When understood, features of a male and female face can be addressed in a subtle way to achieve a natural, discreet result with very little to no downtime.
This can be in the form of wrinkle relaxing injections, dermal fillers, Silhouette Soft Thread Lift, and Ultherapy facial contouring. Body treatments target stubborn pockets of undesired fatty deposits, stretch marks and body hair. Skin health is fundamental to a healthy, youthful complexion and therefore care is taken to address specific skin issues such as scarring, acne, sun spots, rosacea, and melasma. Treatment options include advanced medical devices in lasers, IPL, radio frequency and ultrasound therapies.
