Young, healthy-looking skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). But as we age, sunlight and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in our skin.
The lack of HA causes your skin to lose structure and volume, creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds (for example, parentheses lines around our nose and mouth).
The dermal filler Dr Nestor uses include JUVÉDERM® Ultra & Vycross, as well as the Belotero and Restylane ranges, which are smooth consistency gels that are injected either under skin to soften fine static lines, or deeper, to restore volume and natural facial contours.
Dermal fillers are a safe, effective and minimally invasive way to replace the hyaluronic acid your skin has lost and the volume found in youthful features, diminishing signs of ageing.
Dermal Fillers FAQ
Which Dermal Filler is right for me?
Dermal fillers come in varying viscosities (thicknesses), and the dermal filler used will depend on the area being treated, and the amount needed to achieve a natural result. For example, dermal fillers used for mid-face volume restoration are far thicker than dermal fillers used for fine creases in the skin. Thicker dermal fillers are also injected deeper than thinner ones.
How long before I see results?
Dermal filler treatments are instant. Allowing for some potential swelling, a natural look will be achieved usually within a couple of days, with results lasting 6-18 months, depending on the dermal filler used.

Dermal Filler Treatments:
Understanding the sexual dimorphism between a masculine and feminine face is important to delivering a sex-appropriate, natural result. We all age similarly, however at different rates and to a different extent.
It is important to take account of all factors and ageing features when assessing a face, thus delivering a tailored treatment. Assessment is often split into thirds (upper, middle and lower third). The ageing process can often profoundly be reflected in the middle and lower thirds, with loss of cheek volume in the former and appearance of jowls and marionette lines in the latter.

Facial Rejuvenation by Dr Nestor
Mid Face (cheek) Rejuvenation
Juvéderm® VOLUMA® is revolutionary injectable hyaluronic acid volumiser, that re-contours the face to restore volume to the chin, cheeks, and cheekbones that have become hollow or thin, due to weight loss or age-related facial fat loss.
Immediately after treatment, you should notice contours appear fuller and rounder, giving you a softer, natural, more youthful appearance. VOLUMA® lasts between 12 and 18 months. Restoring volume lost in key areas, and not adding more volume than is proportionate, is arguably the most important step in achieving a natural result.
Lower Third of Face Rejuvenation:
The marionette lines, sometimes referred to as ‘puppet lines’, can continue to become deeper as we lose more volume from this area, as well as under lying fat pads weighing heavily from the sides. Jowls begin to form partly as a result of this. Dermal fillers help to restore volume in the area, and effectively ‘airbrush’ the extent of volume loss.
Tear Trough Rejuvenation:
Tear trough treatment is a great procedure for addressing “tired eyes”, and restoring a healthier look. This is a very advanced procedure and should only ever be performed by highly trained and skilled professionals. Dr Nestor has had extensive training and experience in this treatment.
Non-Surgical Nose Correction:
Dermal fillers can be used to fill in deficits along the flat of the nose, and give an evenly contoured line to smooth out these imperfections. This is a very advanced procedure and should only ever be performed by highly trained and skilled professionals. Dr Nestor has extensive training and experience in this treatment.

Often asymmetry in the shape of our chin, either due to trauma or genetics, can be a cause of great concern. Dermal fillers are used to reshape the contours of the chin, and fill in unwanted dimpling.
Lip Enhancement & Restoration:
Dermal fillers are not only used to restore lost HA and give you a ‘younger you’, but have been a breakthrough in enhancing, defining and volumising lips, to give you the fuller pout you’ve always wanted.
With age, lips lose their plush pink colour, as well as their full architecture. Dermal fillers can restore these deficits. Depending on the dermal filler range used, they can last from 6-15 months.
Lip enhancement treatments do not need to be uncomfortable, and Dr Nestor therefore uses either topical or local anaesthetic cream on intra-oral anaesthetic deposits, to numb the lips and make the experience pain-free.
There are several options, regarding the thickness of dermal filler used and the amount. This depends on three important key factors: what you want to achieve from your lips, and the size and shape of your lips. Lip enhancement should only ever be natural, avoiding lips that are oversized.
The aim is to achieve your lips’ full potential. Better, not necessarily bigger.
Lip enhancement can restore colour and volume to your lips, serve to make them naturally bigger or concentrate on making them crisper and more defined.
A combination of dermal fillers to soften smoker’s lines as well as botulinum toxin to slightly weaken the strength of pursing lips, thus avoiding these peri-oral wrinkles, works best.
